Stay Gold Garments is a free closet for transgender people. Built through donations, we provide gender affirming clothing for your journey with care packages.
The Stay Gold Fund, in partnership with Stonewall Community Fund, provides financial support to transgender people for gender affirming surgeries.
The Stay Gold Foundation provides financial support for trans individuals in New York City seeking gender-affirming procedures related to transition, including certain surgeries. For many transgender people, gender-affirming surgeries can be out of reach due to high cost and insurance exemptions. The American Medical Association and the World Health Organization have deemed healthcare for trans people to be medically-necessary and life saving. We award multiple grants up to $10,000.

To be eligible, applicants must:

Live in New York City

Have raised or saved at least 30% of the cost of their procedure, or have at least 30% of the cost of the procedure covered by insurance

Have identified and contacted a doctor or surgeon for their procedure

Demonstrate emotional urgency

Be able to demonstrate a support system that can see to their needs in the weeks that follow gender affirming care
